About Luke

Luke Bolar leads external affairs at ClearPath, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit working to develop and advance conservative policies that will accelerate clean energy innovation.  Luke previously worked at Edelman as Senior Vice President of the Energy and Environment practice leading communications strategy and public affairs campaigns for energy companies, trade associations and government entities. Luke also worked for more than a decade on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff to former U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-LA), Communications Director to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Communications Director to Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), and Deputy Press Secretary to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

Future Plans

Luke plans to continue helping Republicans shape their positions on energy and environmental issues that position them to win elections, and grow conservative majorities in the U.S. House and Senate. As a former college soccer player, he also plans to start coaching his kids in soccer as they get older.

What do you enjoy about MavPAC the most?

"As conservatives, it's easy to get bogged down in principles and policy nuance, but Maverick PAC makes sure we have fun too. And, they like to win. Conservative, fun and winning -- a pretty great combo," Bolar said. 

Fun Fact

Luke created and launched Sen. Chuck Grassley's Twitter account in 2007. But, he did not meet his wife in the Grassley office.
