Nikki Whiting currently serves as the Deputy Director of Communications for Governor Ron DeSantis. Before this role, she served as Director of Communications at the Florida Department of Health. Her state government experience started as Senior Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez.

In 2019, she served as the Director of Communications for then Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban “Steve” Bovo. Her work in government began in the office of former U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, where she served as her Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant in Washington, DC.

She was a Leaders Fellow at the James Madison Institute in 2017 and participated in the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Millennial Cohort Leadership Network in 2020. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Miami.
