Kate Hallaway

Kate Hallaway has over 17 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry and is an advocate for infrastructure renewal and resiliency. She is a Senior Project Manager for BGE, Inc. and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. She holds two degrees from Rice University: a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. She has been a member of Maverick PAC since 2015 and currently serves as a Houston Chapter Co-Chair and on the Candidate Selection Committee. 

Previously, Hallaway served as President of the Rice Engineering Alumni Board of Directors and as a member of the Association of Rice Alumni Board of Directors. Currently, she serves as the President of the Houston Area Road Runners Association Board of Directors, Vice President for the Southeast Chapter of the Texas American Water Works Association (TAWWA) and is a member of the Baker Institute of Public Policy Roundtable Emerging Leaders. She was named the 2020 Young Engineer of the Year for the Southeast Chapter of TAWWA. A dedicated distance runner, she runs forty miles a week and has completed 14 marathons to date.
