James serves as Senior Vice President in the Investment Banking Division at Alliance Global Partners, where he focuses primarily in corporate finance; various securities underwriting & placement; and M&A advisory for small-cap and mid-cap companies in the healthcare, technology, and aerospace & defense sectors. Prior to Alliance Global, James began his career in 2007 at Guggenheim Partners in the Private Funds Group, where he worked on sourcing institutional capital and launching in-house and third-party private equity funds and private debt strategy funds; and subsequently in the Healthcare Investment Banking Division at Aegis Capital Corp. James holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 66, and 79 licenses and is a graduate of Colby College with a B.A. in Political Science, where he also served as the President of the Colby College Republicans.

He currently serves as Chair of the Leadership Council for Special Olympics New York and on the New York Executive Committees for the Fresh Air Fund and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; and is a member of the Metropolitan Republican Club of New York and the New York Young Republican Club. Additionally, James serves as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
