Jamie Baker currently serves as Director of Public Policy for the 4th Congressional District of Texas, where he engages with constituents, local entities and organizations on legislative issues that impact the Texas’ 4th District. Prior to joining the district team, Jamie served as a senior legislative assistant in Congressman John Ratcliffe’s Washington office, where he advised on legislative issues, including health, tax, homeland security, telecommunications, education and appropriations. 

Jamie is a fifth-generation Texan, born in Houston and raised in East Texas. After graduating from Harleton High School, he attended The University of Texas at Austin for his Bachelor degree in Government and George Washington University for his Masters in Political Management.  During graduate school, he served at the White House under President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Chaney. 

Upon graduation from GW, Jamie was hired to work for Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. Jamie worked for Dr. Burgess for four years and then moved in March of 2015 to Congressman John Ratcliffe’s office. When not working for the 4th Congressional District, you can find Jamie cheering for the Texas Longhorns or training for his next marathon.
