Teddy Tanzer

Teddy Tanzer is a Senior Director in Invariant’s technology and competition practice group. In his current role, he counsels clients on how to engage with Congress and the Administration on issues related to artificial intelligence, consumer protection, data privacy, oversight, and college athletics.
Before joining Invariant, Teddy served as Senior Counsel to Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) on the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Innovation, Data, and Commerce Subcommittee. He has also served as Senior Counsel to now-Acting Chairman Peter Feldman at the Consumer Product Safety Commission, as a law clerk and professional staff member on the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee’s Republican staff for then-Chairmen John Thune (R-SD) and Roger Wicker (R-MS), and as a legal fellow to Senator John Thune.
Teddy earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. from Hobart College. He is licensed to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia. Teddy was also honored with the “Maverick PAC Future 40 Award” in 2024. He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, two sons, and dog.
