Robert Flock
Chairman from 2022 - 2025
As the Senior Vice President of the American Bankers Association’s Office of Strategic Engagement, Robert directs federal advocacy campaigns and oversees external relations, political affairs, and state policy. He also leads ABA’s Government Relations Council and its Voter Education Program.
Before joining ABA, Robert was Director of Advocacy for the Credit Union National Association (now America’s Credit Unions), where he lobbied members of Congress and Administration officials. He was previously a Policy Advisor at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and began his career at Quinn Gillespie & Associates.
Robert earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and an AB from Georgetown University. He serves on the American Legislative Exchange Council Private Enterprise Advisory Council and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Public Affairs Council.
