James Kimmey

Since its founding in 2021, James Kimmey has served as Executive Director of Senate Working Group (SWG), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. SWG is a Washington, D.C. based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Senate staff by providing them with the tools and resources they need to better serve the American people. James joined SWG after serving almost a decade as a philanthropic advisor for high-net-worth individuals.

Whether it was politics or education, James’s portfolio spanned throughout the country, engaging individuals in life changing causes. Prior to joining SWG, James worked as the Director of Special Initiatives at the Morgridge Family Foundation and as a Partnership Advisor for the Charles Koch backed group, Stand Together. He also served as the Executive Director of Jewish National Fund-USA in San Diego and as an Associate Director for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Orange County, Palm Springs, and San Diego, California.

James is a licensed attorney with specialties in nonprofit management and law. He is a two-time graduate of Liberty University, receiving a Bachelors of Science in Government from the Helms School of Government and his Juris Doctorate from the Liberty University School of Law. In addition to running the day-to-day operations at SWG, James regularly appears on Fox News where he shares his take on politics, elections, and general current events.
