Alex Yergin is a leader in the technology space, focusing on data and blockchain. Until recently he was a Vice President of Business Development at Datawallet, a blockchain-based personal data management platform that gives users control over their own data to fuel a consumer-to-business data exchange. Alex has spent much of his career building data businesses, including working at Palantir, Dataminr (an information discovery company), and GridPoint (a smart energy company). Alex was also a management consultant at Monitor Group. Earlier in his career, Alex worked on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He was also on the policy team of the John McCain presidential campaign in 2008.
Alex holds a BA from Yale University, a Masters in Public Policy focused on International and Global Affairs from the Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is also a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an Atlantik-Brücke German-American Young Leader, and a John C. Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association.
