State Representative Amber Mariano is a Republican serving District 36 in the Florida House of Representatives, which includes Hudson, Port Richey, New Port Richey and Holiday, Fla. Elected in 2016 at the age of 21, Mariano is the youngest State Representative to serve in Florida’s Legislature.
Mariano graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science specializing in American Politics and Policy in 2017 and is currently pursuing a masters in Emergency and Crisis Management at UCF.
While serving in the Florida Legislature, Mariano is championing to improve infrastructure issues in Pasco County and make the higher-education system more affordable and accessible. Mariano serves as Vice Chair on the Higher Education & Career Readiness Subcommittee and the Business & Professions Subcommittee. She is also on the Transportation & Tourism Appropriations Subcommittee, Education Committee and Alternating Chair on the Joint Committee on Public Counsel Oversight.
Mariano is also actively involved with PACE Center for Girls, Pasco, SmileFaith and is a member of the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce.
