Gail Wilson is an avid social innovator and advocate for women’s empowerment. In 2015, Gail joined the International Republican Institute as a Senior Program Associate with Women’s Democracy Network which empowers women to meaningfully participate and take on leadership roles within the political process across the globe. In her portfolio, Gail manages women’s economic empowerment programs which engages women small business owners and entrepreneurs to discuss their rights and advance their interest in their country's economic policy development.
Gail also oversees the WDN Latin America and Caribbean network which brings together influential women leaders to collaborate and build critical partnerships to advance democracy in the region. Prior to IRI, Gail was a legislative fellow in the office of Congresswoman Candice Miller and worked on Governor Greg Abbott’s campaign where she led grassroots efforts in Dallas and Tarrant County in Texas. Gail served on the board of Denton County Young Republicans and was a delegate to the 2014 Texas State Republican Convention. Gail has a BS in Political Science from Texas Women’s University and Project Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
