Mike Huffstetler is a technology executive focused on early and growth stage startups in media, ecommerce, and technology. He currently serves as General Manager of NYC and EVP at Galvanize, Inc., one of the world’s leading technology educators and incubators.
Prior to Galvanize, Mike was EVP of Digital for Domino Media Group, a media and commerce startup, where he led growth, partnerships, marketing, and ecommerce. Before that, Mike was on the founding team of 1871, a public-private partnership with Illinois and Chicago dedicated to growing the Chicago technology ecosystem. 1871 has become the world’s largest technology incubator. There Mike was Vice President of Development leading strategy, partnerships, and development. After several years in Washington D.C. working in politics, political consulting, and political campaigns, Mike moved to Boston and was an early team member of tech startup FreeCause, that ultimately sold to Rakuten, Inc..
While in Boston, he co-founded the Boston Winter Ball Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering millennials to support their local communities. In ten years, the Boston Winter Ball Foundation has raised over $8 million dollars for charities that support children’s health and education initiatives, including Children’s Hospital Boston and The Corey C. Griffin Foundation. Mr. Huffstetler is a graduate of Boston College.
