Nicole Gomez serves as Chief of Staff to the City of North Miami Beach Mayor and Commission. In her capacity as Chief of Staff, she oversees the Division of Public Affairs and Community Engagement where she provides leadership and guidance to her team. She is responsible for the operation and budget for both divisions, including the coordination of policy and legislation, external affairs and communication.

Ms. Gomez leads all forms of communications and public relations activities for the City. She has created, developed, and implemented all of the strategic messaging that reaches the 45,000 residents that live, work and play in North Miami Beach. She has optimized the city’s media capital and identified resources that position the City for tourism and business attraction and business retention. By cultivating and leveraging relationships with community partners, her Division has effectively secured over $100,000 in sponsorships. Her efforts in working with the Florida legislature has resulted in a million dollars in state appropriations for local roadways, waterways, and historic restoration projects.

Prior to joining the City, Ms. Gomez was a Deputy Director of Florida Governor Rick Scott's re-election campaign in 2014.  As Deputy Director she was responsible for the campaign efforts in Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties. Ms. Gomez implemented a robust volunteer recruitment and retention program that allowed the campaign to build an effective and reliable voter contact program. Her Boca Raton Victory Office was consistently recognized in the top 10 offices statewide for GOTV metrics. Her efforts and that of her team turned out more supportive voters than the 2010 gubernatorial election. Ms. Gomez also built coalitions and executed all aspects of campaign media events and bus tour rallies in her region. Ms. Gomez worked diligently to ensure the Governor’s conservative message was communicated in both English and Spanish.

Initially, she began her career within the Florida Dependency Court system assisting families suffering from varying degrees of cumulative disadvantages. Ms. Gomez continued her pursuit of public service by joining Senator Marco Rubio’s team. She worked with the Director of Public Policy and External Affairs doing extensive research that formulated legislative memoranda on global Human Rights Violations.

Through her innovative approach and zeal to serve, Ms. Gomez has proven herself to be a dedicated and effective public servant.

Ms.  Gomez is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
