Representative Meagan Hanson was elected to the Georgia General Assembly after unseating a Democrat incumbent in a district that voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton. Meagan represents House District 80 in the Atlanta Metro area and serves on the Transportation, Judiciary, and Special Rules Committees; she is also a gubernatorial appointment to the committee that oversees the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).

Meagan is an attorney with the domestic litigation firm, Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle.

Meagan and her husband, David, who is also an attorney, live in Brookhaven with their three dogs.
