Mary Alice McElheney currently serves as the Executive Staff Director for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.  

Mary Alice has been involved in dozens of campaigns, and in 2010 successfully ran the panhandle counties as a Field Representative during Florida Governor Rick Scott’s victorious bid.  After the monumental win, she worked for the Governor as his cabinet aide. She later assisted in pushing the Governor’s high priority jobs agenda at the Department of Economic Opportunity and served as an analyst for the Florida Senate Health Policy Committee.  

Mary Alice earned her Health Services Administration Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University, and a Master of Science in Administration from the University of West Florida.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of West Florida.

With her abundance of experience and leadership, Mary Alice is a young leader with the hunger to improve policy and eagerness to drive efficiency.
