VANESSA BROWN CALDER
Vanessa Brown Calder is a senior policy advisor at the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee where she studies policies that enhance economic and social mobility. Calder was previously a policy analyst at Cato Institute, where she focused on social welfare, housing, and urban policy, and a graduate fellow at The Heritage Foundation.
Calder has published articles in the Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, National Review Online, The Federalist, Real Clear Health, and other outlets. She has been featured in radio and television programming and policy briefings on and off Capitol Hill.
She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science in urban planning from University of Utah, where she graduated summa cum laude.
